What is HEPAVIV?
HEPAVIV is a natural dietary supplement with a beneficial effect on the liver and it's functions. It can be also be significantly beneficial for the whole metabolism of the human body.

What does HEPAVIV contain?
The recommended daily dose of 8.5 grams (3 scoops) of HEPAVIV contains pure ground and partially defatted seeds of Silybum marianum (Milk thistle). This amount contains the recommended dose of 250 mg Silymarin. Silymarin is a mixture of flavonolignans (silybinin, silycristin and silydianin). The quality and quantity of the active substances in each package is guaranteed by the laboratory control of each batch of HEPAVIV. There are no added preservatives, colorants, fillers, etc. to the product.

Why is HEPAVIV different from the other products containing Silymarin on the market?
HEPAVIV differs significantly from the other products in the quality of the raw material used (high grade bio certified Milk Thistle seeds), as well as the way in which it is processed. The mechanical processing in which the seeds are subjected in our product, does not change in any way the chemical content of the seeds, in order to make their intake easy and effective.
In the production of HEPAVIV we are not using any kind of extraction process. In fact, most of the Sylimarin containing products currently on the market are extracts. As a result we are skipping the use of aggressive or toxic organic solvents, associated with the extraction. This gives us the opportunity to offer our customers a product, which is fully natural, with 100% preserved biological activity.

What is the mechanism of action of HEPAVIV?
It is well known that Silymarin neutralizes free radicals in the body. This antioxidant effect interrupts the process of lipidd peroxidation and prevents the destruction of cellular structures. Silymarin reduces the production of superoxide and nitroxide radicals in the cells, and at the same time increases the production of glutathione in the liver. Glutathione is an essential element of the detoxification process performed by the liver cells (hepatocytes). It is exactly in the liver, where the toxic substances are broken down and processed into non-toxic water-soluble products, which are excreted by the cells and subsequently eliminated from the body through the kidneys.
Silymarin stimulates cell membrane functions by inhibiting the toxins and blocking them by altering the hepatocyte membrane. The mechanism explains the liver protective and regenerative effect of our product.

How does HEPAVIV accelerate liver cell regeneration?
The regenerative effect of HEPAVIV on the liver cells (hepatocytes) is due to the stimulation of the biosynthesis of structural and functional proteins. Silymarin stimulates a specific enzyme RNA polymerase I in the nucleus of hepatocytes, leads to an increase in ribosomal protein synthesis, and the regenerative capacity of the liver. This mechanism of action also has a great importance in poisoning with the Amanita phalloides, commonly known as the death cap, because in this situation, the poisoning blocks the same enzyme in the cell nucleus.

What other beneficial effects does HEPAVIV have?
HEPAVIV has a beneficial effect on the composition of bile and has a choleretic effect. It has an anti-inflammatory effect by the inhibition of the inflammatory mediators, and it also has a protective effect on the kidneys.

When should you take HEPAVIV?
HEPAVIV can have beneficial effect against liver and gallbladder diseases such as:
- Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
- Fibrosis
- Cirrhosis of the liver
- chronic inflammation of the liver (chronic hepatitis)
- Recovery after some toxic or metabolic damage of the liver (caused by alcohol, drugs, chemotherapy, radiation damage, etc.). 
- Gallbladder dysfunction (biliary dyskinesia), cholelithiasis, chronic cholecystitis, etc.
- improper digestion (dyspeptic complaints), loss of appetite, etc.

How to take HEPAVIV?
The recommended dose is 3 level scoops (measurement spoon is included inside the package), well mixed in yogurt or other cold food of similar consistency. HEPAVIV can be combined with other liver protective drugs.

When can we see the effect of the product?
The effect does not occur immediately. According to scientific and clinical research, the improvements appear after 6 to 12 weeks.

How long should the intake last?
